From the villages at the foothills of Bucegi, Piatra Craiului and Leaota Mountains you can easily reach the mountain trails of these high mountains. The trails are spectacular, alpine, with different landscapes, forests, alpine areas and rocky limestone or conglomerate formations. The degree of difficulty is varied, some of the trails are indicated only to experienced tourists and only during summer.

But during winter, the landscape changes completely and according to the experience of tourists and especially depending on the weather and snow conditions you can hike on different alpine routes, most of them are trails in the Bucegi and Piatra Craiului Mountains and are accessible from Moieciu or Fundata.

We recommend using appropriate equipment and being informed in advance about the route, weather conditions, difficulty, marking and duration. You can choose to be accompanied by a mountain guide; there are travel agencies that offer these services for various winter activities: skiing, hiking, alpine, freeride, snowshoe walking.
