Poarta Carpatilor este o propunere de destinati ecoturistica creata de Fundatia Centrul de Ecologie Montană (CEM), pentru zona dintre cele 2 mari arii natural protejate: Parcul National Piatra Craiului si Parcul Natural Bucegi incluzand satele din comunele Fundata, Moieciu si Bran. Tipic pentru zona este diversitatea naturii si culturii, privelistea unica a peisajelor agro-pastroale, cu galme de calcar acoperite alternant cu paduri, fanete, pasuni, dar si stinci si grohotisuri. Habitatele diferite au o diversitate mare a faunei si florei.
Uneori pare ca timpul sta pe loc! Te poți plimba în lungul potecilor satenilor și pe trasee montane marcate, poti descoperi și vizita artizani care meșteșugăresc ca acum sute de ani ori degusta din bucătăria locală. Destinatia este ideala atat pentru familii, cat si pentru drumetii, alergari montane si biciclisti pe tot parcursul anului.
The Carpathian Gate is an eco-tourist destination proposal created by the Centre for Mountain Ecology Foundation (CEM) in the region lying between two important natural protected areas: Piatra Craiului National Park and Bucegi Natural Park, including the villages of the communes of Fundata, Moieciu and Bran. Some of the identifying features of the region are the natural and cultural diversity, the unique views offered by the mountain pasture landscapes, characterised by limestone hills intermittently covered in woods, grasslands, or pastures, as well as the cliffs and screes. The different habitats are endowed with a vast variety of flora and fauna.
Sometimes you have got the feeling that time literally stands still! You can walk along the cowherds’ paths or hike the trails, you can meet craftsmen who are still using centuries-old techniques, or try out the local cuisine. This is the perfect all-year destination not only for families, but also for hikers, mountain runners, and cyclists.
